Who can post a project?
Any researcher, scientist, clinician, engineer or innovator with a life-science idea they’d like to develop. You’ll need a verified account.
Are uploaders really anonymous?
Yes — by default. Joiners see the project brief and the requested roles, not your name, institution or contact details. You choose when (and to whom) to reveal your identity.
Are joiners verified?
Yes. Credentials, affiliations and stated resources are checked before a joiner can apply. This protects uploaders and keeps the applicant pool meaningful.
How does the shared IP model work?
Every team formed signs an IP/patent/rights agreement that recognises each contribution — financial, material or intellectual. See the IP Model page.
Does Discovery Exchange take a cut of the IP?
No. DE provides the platform, matching and agreement infrastructure. Fees are flat / tiered. We do not take an equity or IP share in your project.
How much does it cost?
Joiner accounts are free. Uploaders pay per active project under tiered plans. See Pricing.
Can institutions use it for multiple projects?
Yes — the Programme tier supports multi-project workspaces, admins, SSO and audit exports.
What disciplines are supported?
Biotech, pharma, MedTech, AgriTech and academia today. Adjacent life-science domains are welcome.
Is the agreement legally binding?
The signed agreement is intended to be legally binding, but each party should review it with their own legal counsel — especially where institutional employers or existing IP are involved. See disclaimer.
How do I get early access?
Create an account from the sign-up page or contact us for institutional access.
